Following in the footsteps of Jesus and modeling our lives after Him requires a servant heart. Jesus teaches repeatedly in Matthew that humble service is necessary to achieve greatness in God’s eyes. In Galatians 5:14 God’s Word commands us to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The Core Value of Hands-On Ministry/Missions should be a way of life for those seeking to follow Christ. God has blessed many of His children with the spiritual gift of Service/Helps, and He expects us to use it as a tool to reach the lost. By demonstrating God’s love in practical ways to those around us, God will use us to help draw them closer to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
