God needs your help!


For VBS workers' children while workers sort materials and supplies


Pasta/Sauce, Canned Tuna/Chicken, Evaporated Milk, Rice, Jelly, Canned Fruit (Pineapple, Peaches, etc), Mac & Cheese, and Peanut Butter. The Add-A-Meal program passed out over 100 sacks of food to the hungry and needy of Madison County in March! If you feel lead to contribute, please make deliveries to RIFA, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.– 3:30 p.m. at the loading dock (219 N. Highland - 2 blocks north of the courthouse). Ring the bell and someone will come to assist you with unloading. If you have any questions, please call RIFA at 427-7963.


It is just about time!  VBS at West Jackson Baptist Church will be June 9-13, 2008.  WE NEED YOUR HELP.  Pray about you being involved as a worker, then stop by the display table in the Front Foyer and sign up to help us with this important event.  Associational VBS Leadership training will be held at WJBC on April 21, 2008.  There will be 2 sessions at 9-11  a.m. and the same training at 7-9 p.m.


Each Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. West Jackson’s mission team is at work in the Hartland Place Community. We are ministering to children, teens and adults by sharing the Love of Jesus through Bible study, being a friend and social activities.  Will you commit to pray for the team every Monday at 5:30 p.m. as we sow the seed?


An indepth look into the book of John.  Study with us from the comfort of your home on your schedule.  Study begins Monday, March 17th.  Register now to participate at women.wjbc.org.


Get in shape at West Jackson Baptist Church with Kim Laughlin.  She has over 20 years experience in fitness and is AFAA and ACE certified.  She will be offering aerobics on Mondays at 8:00 a.m. and Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. in the Courts.  The class will begin Monday March 24.  The cost is $5 per class or $25 a month.  If you have any question please call Kim Laughlin at 731-225-6323.


Way of the Master Evangelism Classes will start up again on Sunday, April 6th at 4:30PM. Prayerfully consider taking either the Basic or Intermediate class. Check with Doug Polk or Ron Hale for more details.


The First Place Health Program will be begin Sunday April 6 at 4:30 p.m.  The class will meet in room A-113. This is a Christ-centered health program for men and women.  This group will be led by Carrie Staley and Merri Shelton.  The cost will be around $100.00 for the study and support materials.  Please call Carrie at 783-0008 or Merri at 423-1834 for more information.


We are now enrolling students for our Summer Mother's Day Out Program that will be in session June 17-August 1 for ages 6 weeks - 5th Grade, call Lori Camp (731-512-3353)


Volunteers are needed to help with the worship services at the New Southern Apartments (downtown) beginning Sunday evenings in March.  The service will be a 6pm. Volunteers are needed for music, singing, testimonies, bringing and serving refreshments.   Please contact Ron Hale at rhale@wjbc.org for more information.  Bible Fellowship Teams are encouraged to select a Sunday evening for your mission adventure.  Thanks.


Are you available on Monday evenings? Can you  help us each week or maybe take a month or be available to volunteer when needed? Various ministry opportunities available, such as: Refreshment Servers, Greeters, and Teacher Assistants See Sylicia Fuqua, Teresa Layne, or Lori Camp for more information.


Beginning in April childcare for birth – two year olds will be held in D-114. Three year olds and up will continue to go to the courts.


We currently have openings for Preschool Sunday School workers in both the 9:00 and 10:20 hours . . .


If you feel led to pray for spiritual renewal for our church, join us in A-136 the first Sunday evening of each month at 7:00 p.m. This started Sunday, May 6 and will be ongoing.


JEA will broadcast our Sunday morning TV service, Channel 6, at 5-6 p.m. the following Tuesday and again 10-11 a.m. the following Sunday. Sunday worship services are broadcast live on radio station SuperTalk 97.7 at 9 a.m. and on WIGH 88.7 at 10:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.


There are several opportunities for ladies to participate in in-depth Bible studies at West Jackson.
